Preparing For Pick-up Shoot Day

Tomorrow, we will be trying to shoot the rest of our music video. As we have already made one performance cut, we know the type of shots we are looking for and how to achieve them which should make the process a lot quicker than last time.

We will be under slight time constraints as we will only have till lunch to fit in all of our shots. This is because of another group needing to use the space for their music video. We will aim to arrive at 8.30 and then hopefully start shooting between 9:00-9:15.

After talking with our lighting director George, we have made a few changes which will be implemented into tomorrows shoot. These changes include adding Pixelline lights into the blinder set-up for the dance and also for Genny's close-up lip-sync.

We also spoke with Genny and the dancers because we won't have a make-up artist for tomorrow. Genny said that her friend was very good with make-up and that she could replace our previous make-up artist. We are a little sceptical. Anpther point of focus was the dance itself because it had been 2 weeks since the first shoot. Megan and David reassured us that they had been practicing and it would look good.

In tomorrows shoot, we will also be looking to take as many photos and videos and behind the scene footage as possible to go on our digipak and also for the social media websites.

Ben had a chat with Matt about the types of shots he should focus on with the dance sequence. He was told not to shoot flat on because it loses the dynamics of the dance, so Ben has decided that he will shoot from a diagonal so that we can find some interesting angles through body parts. Ben was also planning to move one dancer more forward than the other to create more depth of field.
We also discussed a different way to shoot Genny and we have decided to use a prime lenses and bring her closer to the lens so that the camera focuses on Genny and blurs the background.
