Analysing organic album covers

  • Natural
  • simple
  • acoustic
  • calm
  • thoughtful
  • speaks through her music
  • shy
  • caring
  • reflective
  • small amounts of make-up

This album cover perfectly reflects the type of music that she makes and the artist that she is. From this I have deduced that she most likely writes her own music and it would be about real life experiences which is why music means so much to her. The lack of make-up and the downward tilt of her head make her seem quiet and shy.
I think that any album cover needs to reflect you as an artist and what your music represents because the people buying your albums want to quickly establish who you are and what music you make so that they know exactly what they are buying.

Start of A2

For this years coursework we have three tasks to achieve by December which will come together to create a promotional campaign for our product.

1) Make a music video

2) Create a website
3) Make a full digipak

Firstly, we have to come up with some songs which we would potentially want to use for our promotional campaign.

Personally I don't have a specific genre which I listen to a lot, but I really enjoy R&B, rap, most pop songs and even some soft rock.

These are some of the artists and songs that I like which fit into those genres:

R&B

                   Bryson Tiller - Exchange

John Legend - All of me

Rap

Desiigner - Panda

Eminem - Crack a bottle

Hip-hop

Fetty Wap - Trap Queen

Drake - Jumpman

Soft rock

James Bay - Let it go

Eagles - Hotel California

After today's lesson, I am really excited to start this project and I believe that it will be very enjoyable. I expect the process to be tiring and will require a lot of time and hard work but hopefully the final product will be worth it.
